What we collect

Account data. If you create an account we store your email address and, for password accounts, a salted hash of your password (we never store or can recover the password itself). If you sign in with Google we store your email and a Google account identifier.

Usage data. We record your IP address to meter free daily credits, and we keep records of credit balances and purchases. Processed videos, transcripts, and rendered clips are cached on our server for roughly 12 hours and then deleted automatically.

Payments. Purchases are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we store only a reference to the completed payment and the credits it granted.

YouTube and Google services

ClipForge uses YouTube API Services. If you connect your YouTube channel, we store an access token that lets us upload clips you explicitly choose to publish to your own channel. We do not read your subscriptions, history, or private data. By using these features you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke ClipForge's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately invalidates our stored token.

Video analysis (clip selection, captions, scores) is performed in part by Google's Gemini models; public video URLs and transcript text are shared with that service for processing.

TikTok

If you connect a TikTok account, we request the user.info.basic and video.publish scopes through TikTok's Login Kit. We store an access token and refresh token that let us publish clips to that account via TikTok's Content Posting API. We do not read your TikTok followers, messages, or private data beyond your basic profile information (display name). You can revoke access at any time in the TikTok app under Settings and privacy → Security → Manage account connections and apps, which immediately invalidates our stored token. By connecting TikTok you also agree to TikTok's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Instagram

If you connect an Instagram account, we request the instagram_business_basic and instagram_business_content_publish scopes through Meta's Instagram Login API. We store an access token that lets us publish clips to that account as Reels. We do not read your Instagram followers, messages, or private data beyond your basic profile information (username). You can revoke access at any time in the Instagram app under Settings → Apps and websites, which immediately invalidates our stored token.

Automated posting (Autopilot)

ClipForge offers an optional "Autopilot" feature, available only to the account owner, that automatically selects popular recent videos from creator channels or searches the owner configures, generates short clips with captions, and publishes them to a connected YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram account on a recurring schedule without manual review of each individual post. No third-party personal data is involved in this process beyond the connected account's own publishing token described above. The account owner can disable Autopilot or disconnect any connected platform at any time from the admin dashboard.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies, strictly for sign-in sessions and security (for example, OAuth state validation). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties beyond the service providers named above (Stripe, Google) as needed to operate the product.

Data removal

To delete your account and associated data, contact us at blueblazer3810@gmail.com. Cached video data expires automatically within about 12 hours regardless.
